Held every year in a different city  for almost 60 years, the IFFO Annual Conference is the world’s only conference dedicated to the fishmeal and fish oil industry and includes the processing of other marine ingredients and its value chain partners. This year it will be held in Shanghai, China from November 4 – 6.

The conference applies science, technology and business analysis to the commercial concerns of the marine protein and oil sector and the related supply chains. These range from farmed seafood, land animal and pet food nutrition as well as the human health omega-3 market. Four hundred delegates from 45 countries are expected to attend the conference. The three-day program contains a mix of presentations with the latest market data and time for networking.

A side event, Driving positive change through seafood certification schemes, will be held on November 4 and is organized by IFFO RS. This side event will be a platform to discuss the latest developments of the key aquaculture supply chain certification standards and how they are working towards demonstrable impacts, specifically through improvement projects.
