Around the world, insect protein is rapidly gaining traction as a sustainable alternative to fishmeal. But how much do you really know about its properties, regulatory compliance and above all its availability?  Nicholas Piggott, CEO, Nutrition Technologies, will reveal all in a presentation at this year's Aquafeed Horizons conference.
 
In his presentation, Nick will describe the current status and future directions of the insect protein industry around the world, covering how insects are raised at a commercial scale, and describing key details of various insect production systems and species, as as well as a detailed description of insect protein meal products, their technical specifications and use summaries. He will tell deleates about safety and compliance issues as well as the marketing opportunities that it presents in niche sectors.
 
Dr. Albert Tacon, Technical Director, AquaHana and Aquafeed.com Technical Editor, will lead the 13th Aquafeed Horizons Conference and make the keynote presentation. Other speakers will include Dr. Neil Auchterlonie, Technical Director, Chair, IFFO RS Acceptance Committee, Dr. Hongyuan Cheng, Feed Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Michiel Fransen, Head of Standards & Science, ASC and other internationally recognized processing and nutrition experts.
