In order to better assist its members with U.S. Food and Drug Administration feed mill inspection compliance, the American Feed Industry Association will host a webcast on \"Preparing for FDA: Before, During and After an Inspection,\" April 14, at 2 p.m. Eastern time.

The program, featuring Richard Sellers, AFIA senior vice president of legislative and regulatory affairs, and John Dillard, an attorney for AFIA\'s outside legal counsel, is designed to educate facility managers about the FDA inspection process, a firm\'s obligations and how to respond to FDA\'s various inspectional requests for information. The speakers will also present information on the documents you should or should not supply to FDA during an inspection.

\"I receive phone calls frequently from firm managers asking what is required of them and their facility once they learn they will be inspected by FDA. People are surprised when I tell them what FDA has the right to do and what a firm can object to,\" said Sellers. \"It is important to know and comply with the law but also to know FDA\'s limitations.\"

Participants will be able to submit questions throughout the webcast, which will be answered by the experts during a question and answer period at the end of the program. All participants will receive a copy of the recorded program, guidance documents on inspections and records, and a short brochure and one pager of the salient points of the webcast.

To register, visit AFIA\'s website here. The early-bird registration rate for AFIA members is $179 and $359 for non-members.
