USA - AFIA/IFEEDER Symposium on Hazard Analysis

AFIA and IFEEDER are sponsoring a symposium at the Joint Annual Meeting of ASAS – ADSA – CSAS – WSASAS in Salt Lake City. The symposium, titled “Development of A Hazard Analysis for Animal Food Performed for Compliance with the Federal Food Safety Modernization Act,” will be held on July 21st from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.

AFIA and IFEEDER are sponsoring a symposium at the Joint Annual Meeting of ASAS – ADSA – CSAS – WSASAS in Salt Lake City, to be held July 19 – 23, 2016. The symposium, titled “Development of A Hazard Analysis for Animal Food Performed for Compliance with the Federal Food Safety Modernization Act,” will be on July 21st from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.

This symposium is focused on presenting the data from a study conducted by the University of Minnesota, Center for Animal Health and Food Safety. The study was jointly funded between IFEEDER and the National Grain & Feed Foundation. The goal of this study is to develop a generic hazard analysis approach and detailed hazard analysis of potential contaminates of animal feed. The final report is expected to be delivered to AFIA in late October to early November. This report will first be made available to AFIA members to help create their specific hazard analysis.

The symposium is included as part of the registration for the Joint Annual Meeting. Early registration ends June 3.
