'larvi 2017' Fish and Shellfish Larviculture Symposium announcement and request for papers

Organizers of the “larvi’17” conference are inviting the academic as well as the private sector to attend the 7th Fish and Shellfish Larviculture Symposium September 4 - 7, 2017 at Ghent University in Belgium. Interested contributors to the symposium program are hereby invited to submit indicative titles and a 10-line summary of the contribution (paper or poster) they would like to present to the Symposium Secretariat before November 7, 2016.

Capitalising on the previous “larvi” symposia (in ’91, ’95, ’01, ’05, ’09, ‘13), the Aquaculture R&D Consortium of Ghent University and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology have joined the organizing committee for “larvi’17” and are inviting the academic as well as the private sector to attend the 7th Fish and Shellfish Larviculture Symposium September 4 - 7, 2017 at Ghent University in Belgium. 

Bringing together European and non-European stakeholders, once again the latest progress in academic research and in the sector will be reviewed, problems identified and avenues for future collaboration explored.

Interested contributors to the symposium program are hereby invited to submit to the Symposium Secretariat before November 7, 2016 indicative titles and a 10-line summary of the contribution (paper or poster) they would like to present at: www.aquaculture.ugent.be/larvi/preregistration.htm.

The authors will be notified of the acceptance of their contribution and the kind of presentation (oral, poster, workshop) before January 15, 2017 at which time they will receive the instructions to authors for submission of their mini-paper. Authors who wish to submit full-length papers for selection and publication in the symposium proceedings will have to turn in their manuscript at the meeting.

Several public as well as private organizations are being solicited to sponsor the event. The complete list will be given in future announcements.
