The 8th Offshore Mariculture Conference will be held in association with the U.S. Soybean Export Council from May 15 - 17, 2018 in Singapore.
OMC Asia will provide local attendees with the chance to learn from established operations in the countries who pioneered in this industry, such as those in the European region and allow international experts, equipment suppliers and investors the opportunity to meet the local stakeholders interested in moving to cage quality finfish production.
OMC Asia will feature a gala dinner on the first night of the conference. The dinner will be held at the Hilton Singapore, the first hotel in Asia to achieve Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) Chain of Custody certifications.
“There is an urgency to protect the oceans from unsustainable fishing practices, and this is a shared responsibility," commented Peter Webster, general manager, Hilton Singapore. "Collectively the hospitality industry has significant potential to raise consumer awareness, and advance responsible business operations at large – including the sourcing of sustainable seafood.”
The conference dinner will take place on 15 May 2018 and is included in the standard registration fee for the conference.
