Oceanus Group Limited is proceeding with its development of a self-sustaining floating food city, and is currently in talks with officials to locate the city off the coast of Singapore.
The Oceanus Aquapolis City will integrate renewable technology with hi-tech aquaponics to grow vegetables, seaweed and fish in an environmentally friendly, multi-story closed-contained platform.
The city is one of the projects being developed as part of a recent agreement between Oceanus Group, Shaw Investment Holdings Pte Ltd, and China Construction Seventh Engineering Division Corp., Ltd. The companies entered into a memorandum of understanding to jointly explore global aquaculture-related investment opportunities and development projects worth US$500 million.

The project will take 5 to 7 years from its current conceptualization to the launch of the Oceanus Aquapolis City.
