The American Feed Industry Association in partnership with the IGP Institute of the Department of Grain Science and Industry at Kansas State University will jointly host \"Establishing a HACCP Program for the Feed Industry\" on June 8-11, and August 31-September 3, in Manhattan, Kansas, USA. The short course will concentrate on the development of a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points plan for all industry sectors.

The program is designed for all individuals within the industry looking to implement a HACCP plan, but particularly pertains to feed mill managers, quality assurance personnel and ingredient suppliers. The course has been offered by AFIA, National Grain and Feed Association and KSU for more than 10 years; and due to increased popularity, it has been held twice-per-year since 2010.

Enrollment for both courses is open. The registration fee is $525 per course.

AFIA has partnered with KSU since 1976--the only U.S. university to offer a Bachelor of Science degree in feed manufacturing, and home of the IGP Institute. For more than 35 years, the IGP Institute has established a worldwide reputation as a center of excellence for international programs related to flour milling and grain processing, feed manufacturing and grain management, grain marketing and risk management focused on corn, grain sorghum, soybeans and wheat. The courses are taught by a diverse blend of individuals from KSU and within the feed and allied industries and provide in-depth training on all aspects related to feed manufacturing.
