US - No borders in the ocean: Feed and seafood trade look to get their 'sustainability' act together

The companies involved in Seafood Business for Ocean Stewardship (SeaBOS), a project aiming to lead a global transformation towards sustainable seafood production, recently released a statement outlining concrete goals for the initiative.

In June, Knut Nesse, CEO of Nutreco and founding member of SeaBOS, spoke at the UN Oceans Summit, reporting on the next phase of the project, where he revealed the more detailed commitments of the nine signatories .

“The project is exciting as it bridges many worlds; it connects science and business, aquaculture and fisheries, European and North American companies to Asian companies,” he explained in an exlusive interview with Feed Navigator.
