Soybean Meal Nutrient Aquaculture Database
One of the confounding factors in feeding trials using plant based diets has been the variability of nutrients and anti-nutritional factors in the feedstock. Levels of these compounds in soybean meal (SBM) vary depending on cultivar and growing conditions. To begin the process of linking biological responses with these compounds in soybean meal, Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), in cooperation with the United Soybean Board, will at no cost to the researcher, assay samples of SBM used in fish nutrition research for lectins, oligosaccharides and trypsin inhibitors.
