Registration is now open for the 2014 Equipment Manufacturers Conference, taking place November 6-8, in Palm Springs, California. This year\'s theme is Feeding the World: Challenges and Opportunities.

The Equipment Manufacturers Conference is presented by the American Feed Industry Association and the Equipment Manufacturers Committee. This educational event is designed to address the many issues pertinent to today\'s equipment designers, builders and installers who serve the feed, pet food and ingredient industries.

The three-day event will kick off with its golf scramble tournament--an annual fundraiser for the EMC Scholarship Fund--to be played at the Desert Springs Golf Club, followed by two days of educational sessions. This year\'s sessions will cover topics such as climate change impacts, GMOs and world affairs, and future opportunities in the global feed industry.

The early-bird registration fee for members is $720--$1,415 for a non-members, through October 6. Registration fees cover the conference, all program materials, meals (except Friday night dinner) and receptions. Friday night dinner is an additional $92.

A hotel room block is available at the JW Marriot Desert Springs Resort & Spa where the meeting will be held. AFIA is offering registrants a limited number of hotel rooms at a group rate of $235 per night (plus tax), which includes complimentary internet in your room and a $40 resort credit credited to your room per night. Please make your reservations directly with the hotel at (612) 375-1700 and mention \'American Feed Industry Association\' to receive the block rate. We recommend you make your hotel room reservations by Oct. 6. After this date, AFIA\'s room block will be released and reservations will be at a higher rate, if available.
