IFFO’s 2022 Members meeting will be held in Miami, USA, from April 5-6, the first on-site meeting since the pandemic started. IFFO’s 2020 and 2021 members' meetings were held online.

This members’ meeting will provide a pre-competitive space for marine ingredients thought leaders to put day-to-day business aside to network and focus on key trends impacting the industry. In addition to providing detailed updates on market trends with in-depth analyses of regional features, IFFO Members will benefit from high-level presentations including environmental sustainability, such as Melanie Siggs’ keynote speech on blue food, Dave Martin’s update on reduction fisheries sustainability (Sustainable Fisheries Partnership), Tom Battagliese’s focus on global feed lifecycle assessment (Global Feed Lifecycle Assessment Institute), Prof Ray Hilborn’s analysis of the effects of climate change on global fish stocks (University of Washington).

IFFO’s director general, Petter Johannessen, said, “we are thrilled to resume our in-person event. While we have all kept up with the latest developments in our industry, it has been a long two years since we last got together in Shanghai for the IFFO Annual Conference in 2019. We are building plenty of opportunities for all IFFO members to catch up as a group and share strategic thinking to keep highlighting the marine ingredients industry’s contribution to the global food system.”

Registration is open to IFFO Members only, until March 25 via the IFFO website. The sponsors for this event include SGS and Blueline Foods.
