Allmicroalgae is now GMP+ standard certified. The quality seal proves that the company’s processing of its algae-based ingredients complies with the legal regulations and requirements necessary to ensure safety throughout all stages of the feed chain.

Allmicroalgae’s ingredients provide promising value-adding solutions for all sorts of feed applications, including farm animals, racehorses, laying hens, aquaculture and pets’ specific needs at different stages and ages.

“This certification underlines our commitment to quality and confirms our capabilities in the area of feed products,” said Margarida Eustáquio, business development manager at Allmicroalgae. “We are sure that the feed sector can benefit greatly from our portfolio as it ties in perfectly with the growing demand for ecologically sound yet functional feeds. The products combine highly nutritious and sustainable raw materials with an efficient and resource-low production process.”

Allmicroalgae produces its own microalgae using a unique and sophisticated process optimized for purity and sustainability. Its feed products, high in valuable fatty acids, proteins, natural vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, are marketed under the Allvitae brand. Due to their outstanding nutritional properties and ideal size and shape for ingestion, Allvitae’s solutions are characterized by their strong antioxidant and detoxifying effects. They promote healthy growth in young animals, strengthen the immune system, boost skin and coat condition and improve vital functions in mature animals. These effects have been confirmed by in vivo trials carried out in collaboration with animal producers and Portuguese universities in fish such as juvenile European seabass, juvenile gilthead seabream and Senegalese sole, as well as in piglets, horses, ruminants, poultry and eggs. The company is also conducting trials within the livestock industry to evaluate the potential methane reduction achievable by feeding farm animals with premixed microalgae-based solutions in conventional feed mixes.

Allmicroalgae is already certified for European Organic Production as well as Halal, ISO 22000, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
