Cactus product for fish launched

China Kangtai Cactus Biotech Inc., a vertically integrated grower, developer, manufacturer and marketer of a variety of cactus-based consumer products in China, has launched two innovative products, Cactus Cattle Feed and Cactus Fish Feed. It is expected that the Company will generate approximately 14.4 million RMB ($2.1 million) in annual sales from the two products, commencing during the current quarter.

''We believe the market for these products is substantial,'' said Jinjiang Wang, President of China Kangtai Cactus. Farmers are constantly seeking ways to improve the health and productivity of their livestock and fish, and these products have demonstrated the ability to enhance both, he said. "We expect there to be significant interest in each product.''

The products provide cattle with the nutrition from cactus and have characteristics designed to prevent against sepsis, inflammatory illnesses and to boost immunity. The products, which the Company has been developing since 2003, have been included in the National Spark Program of China in May 2004 and obtained the certification of the Chinese Scientific and Technological Achievements.

Test results from the products have been impressive: the test of Cactus Fish Feed demonstrated an increased production from fish.

The Company obtained patent protection for the two products earlier this year through the issuance of the Certificate of National Invention Patent of China.

China Kangtai Cactus Biotech Inc. is market-leading cactus grower and producer of cactus-related products with over 387 acres of plants and an active R&D group that holds 17 product patents and is seeking another 13 in a variety of product categories. China Kangtai's high-quality products are sold throughout China in supermarkets, food stores, hotels and restaurants through a growing distribution network that has currently covered 12 provinces and two municipalities.
