USA - Early Bird Deadline nearing for AFIA’s Import & Export Seminar
The task of completing imports and exports of feed, ingredients and pet foods is often an unclear path, and disruptions can cost time, money and customer loyalty. The American Feed Industry Association understands the process isn’t straightforward. That’s why AFIA is hosting an Import & Export Seminar to educate members and non-members about options for completing regulatory trade requirements for feed, ingredients and pet foods.
Speakers: Individual experts from the Office of the United States Trade Representative (Executive Office of the President), USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, USDA Foreign Agricultural Service , Indiana State Chemist and the Food and Drug Administration.
The program will provide details about available resources, what to do in specific scenarios, question-and-answer sessions, and regional trade updates.
Who should attend: Feed, ingredient and pet food professionals responsible for the imports or exports of agricultural products.
When: Sept. 27, 1 – 5:30 p.m., and Sept. 28, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: The Arlington Court Suites Hotel, 1200 N. Courthouse Rd., Arlington, VA 22201. The AFIA event rate is $169 per night. Please make your reservations directly with the hotel at (703) 524-4000 before Aug. 27.
Cost: $425 for AFIA members; $625 for non-members. The early bird deadline ends Aug. 27.
Registration is available online or by completing and returning a PDF form.
