Zinpro Corporation promoted Timur Akmaliev to regional manager – Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). In his new role, Akmaliev will lead the company’s business growth and development for CIS and Russian customers.

Akmaliev joined Zinpro in October 2017 as country manager for Russia and CIS. As country manager, in addition to establishing the Russia and CIS regional business, he and his team have focused on demonstrating the value of Zinpro Performance Minerals® through customer validation trials. The result has been that customers are able to increase their profitability through improved animal performance.

“Our customers very much appreciate the products and support that Timur and his team have provided to ensure their success,” said Hans Aae, vice president of sales – Europe, the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META), Oceania and Russia for Zinpro Corporation. “Because of Timur and his team’s efforts, our customers have seen the benefits our solutions provide across the whole value chain, including improved carcass quality in broilers, growth and feed conversion in pigs and increased milk production in cows.”

Based in Moscow, Dr. Akmaliev brings to the position 15 years of experience in the animal nutrition business in Russia and CIS. Assuming the role on August 1, Akmaliev was promoted to the position which was formerly held by Boudewijn Mys. During his career with Zinpro, Mys held several leadership positions and retired on July 31. “During his time with us, Boudewijn was instrumental in building the foundation for and leading our business and teams in Russia and the CIS,” said Aae. “It has been a privilege that Boudewijn spent the last 13 years of his great career with Zinpro.”
