The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) is looking for an aquafeed specialist to join its global team to coordinate the effective technical delivery of its ASC Feed Programme.

  • Are you passionate about driving improvements and an increased understanding of sustainable feed standards across the aquaculture space?
  • Can you proactively manage multiple workstreams to review and revise feed-related requirements? i.e. feed efficiency metrics, transitioning to deforestation/conversion-free supply chains and sourcing from responsibly managed fisheries.
  • Do you have experience developing technical tools and guidance for aquafeed, standards, and due diligence?
  • Can you take scientific or audit data and analyze this in detail to suggest improvements for future revision of our standards?
  • Want to work for an organization that is at the forefront of setting the standard for seafood, globally?

This role will directly support the global Feed and Standards teams to support the recently released ASC Feed Standard.

The candidate will need to be able to work on own initiative, have a good understanding of feed sustainability issues and understand due diligence/risk assessment approaches within supply chains.

The candidate will be pro-active with exceptional project coordination skills, to manage various workstreams at once. ASC is seeking a "hands-on" approach with an ability to translate technical information and data into impactful standards.

This is a remote position based in Europe, the UK or the Netherlands. However, candidates from other locations may also be considered. Circa EUR 50,000 to 60,000 p/a varying based on location, experience, and skills.

Send CV and cover letter application, in English, to recruitment@asc-aqua.org. All applications will be considered, and ASC will make a shortlist of candidates to invite to interview. In some cases, candidates may be asked to prepare additional written materials, past work examples and/or a presentation. Interviews will generally be held via Teams.
