Aquaculture Africa 2021 (AFRAQ21) will go ahead as planned as an in-person event after having assessed the COVID-19 health and safety situation in Egypt and get approval from the government and the convention center. AFRAQ21 will be held from December 11-14, 2021 in Alexandria, Egypt.

Submission of abstracts and full papers has been extended to September 30, 2021. All abstracts already submitted are valid and will be processed accordingly. More information here.

1st Eastern Africa Aquaculture Conference

The World Aquaculture Society will also hold the 1st Eastern Africa Aquaculture Conference from August 27-29, 2021. The event will be the first-ever regional aquaculture e-conference that will provide a great opportunity for the aquaculture stakeholders in the region to interact, establish linkages, share experiences, update themselves with trends and technology and identify new prospects in the industry.

The conference will discuss the status of aquaculture in Eastern Africa, advances in technology to tap into new horizons, economic opportunities and business prospects, ecosystem management for sustainable aquaculture development and regional collaboration for sustainable transboundary aquaculture development and trade.
