Supported by Aller Aqua as the gold sponsor, the 2nd Annual International Conference and Exposition of the African Chapter of the World Aquaculture Society (AFRAQ2023) will be held from November 13- 16, 2023 in Lusaka, Zambia.

Zambia, which is one of the most important growing aquaculture producer countries in Africa, will receive thousands of delegates from around the world to celebrate achievements on all aspects of aquaculture development in the continent, but also to find solutions to some of the challenges hampering the growth of the sector, and to explore new opportunities.

AFRAQ2023, which is expected to provide numerous networking and collaboration opportunities, is themed on Resilient value chains in the blue economy and will highlight some of the latest aquaculture research, innovations, and investments to underpin the continued growth of the aquaculture sector in Africa.

The event will comprise a scientific forum with both oral and poster presentations, trade exhibitions, industry forums, workshops, student events, receptions, and other organized meetings. Keynote speakers from Africa and beyond are expected. Special aquaculture tours will also be arranged to some of the most progressive freshwater fish farms, aquafeeds plants, fish markets, R&D centers, and other facilities of interest.
