From September 16 to 18, São Paulo will welcome the 2nd edition of VICTAM LatAm and the 1st edition of Feed Formulation Latin America, which together are expected to bring more than 250 exhibitors, 350 brands, and 8,000 professionals from 30 Latin American countries. In addition to the trade show, the program will include more than 80 hours of technical content, distributed across conferences and seminars conducted by national and international institutions. The events will take place at Expo Center Norte.
A highlight of this year’s edition will be Feed Formulation Latin America, an international technical congress focused on technology, equipment, ingredients, and advances in formulations for the industry. Parallel to this event is Grapas LatAm, dedicated to flour milling and grain handling, with conferences and around 100 exhibitors from this segment.
According to Sebas van den Ende, general manager of VICTAM Corporation, the combination of a trade show, workshops, an international technical congress, and partner seminars reinforces VICTAM’s role as a convergence point between research, industry, and innovation. “Our expectation for 2025 is to strengthen connections between equipment manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and the animal nutrition industry in Latin America,” he said.
Program
Feed Formulation Latin America is promoted by the Feed Technology Institute (FTI), an institution created by Evonik, DSM-Firmenich, and Nutral/UFPR. In total, the program will offer more than 80 hours of technical content, distributed among conferences and seminars conducted by national and international institutions. “The goal is to create strategic connections between different markets and boost the animal nutrition sector in Latin America,” added Sebas.
In addition, the program will include the Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS), an international association that promotes global standards for responsible soybean production. RTRS will organize a block of conferences on September 17 and 18, bringing together producers, companies, and social organizations to discuss traceability, regenerative agriculture, and international regulations such as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
Another highlight is the conference organized by Embrapa, which will gather five of its research units: Fisheries and Aquaculture, Soy, Goats and Sheep, Swine and Poultry, as well as Embrapa Maranhão. According to Roberto Manolio Valladão Flores, researcher at Embrapa Fisheries and Aquaculture (CNPASA) and coordinator of the conference, this year’s theme will be “Animal nutrition for sustainable and resilient systems”, aligned with the institution’s preparation for COP30 – the United Nations Climate Change Conference – to be held in Belém this November.
“We want to show how research can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen sustainability in different production systems,” he explained.
Alongside this, the program will feature the participation of organizations such as the Brazilian Society of Animal Science (SBZ), the Brazilian Association of Cereal Companies (ACEBRA), the National Union of the Animal Feed Industry (Sindirações), GMP+ International, the National Association of Grain Exporters (ANEC), and the Brazilian Association of Mineral Supplement Industries (ASBRAM).
Exhibition with machinery and solutions for animal nutrition
The trade show will also serve as a showcase for machinery and technologies for animal nutrition, milling, and grain storage. Companies from Europe, Asia, the United States, and Latin America will present equipment such as extruders, mixers, silos, drying systems, coolers, bagging machines, dosing systems, sensors, and industrial automation software. The solutions cover different species, including pet food, poultry, swine, and cattle, and different production profiles.
According to VICTAM’s general manager, the presence of these exhibitors broadens business opportunities, especially at a time when the U.S. dollar is at its lowest level in the past 12 months, which could encourage the purchase of imported equipment during the event.
