IFFO’s China workshop to explore value points and global market dynamics of marine ingredients

The 6th IFFO Marine Ingredients China Workshop will take place on December 12 in Guangzhou, South China.

IFFO – The Marine Ingredients Organisation will hold the 6th IFFO Marine Ingredients China Workshop on December 12 in Guangzhou, South China, the capital city of Guangdong province which is China’s biggest aquafeed-producing region. An offline event, it is open to both IFFO members and non-members. The workshop will start on December 12 at 8:30 am Beijing time.

“China is the world’s largest user of fishmeal. The workshop will focus on the global marine ingredients market, production and consumption in Vietnam, Europe and Chile, and regulations and standards on imported feed in China, fishmeal/fish oil application, and China Fishmeal demand,” said Maggie Xu, China director at IFFO.

Speakers will include Duan Xiaohong from China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association; Prof./Dr. He Gen from the Ocean University of China; Prof./Dr. NIU Jin from Sun Yat-sen University; Dr. XU Houguo from the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, at the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences; Henry Qu, China market analyst from IFFO; Ngo Nha Truc, deputy manager from Kanematsu Vietnam; Anne Mette Baek from Marine Ingredients Denmark and the European Fishmeal Association; Francisco Ovalle from Orizon S.A.; Huang Lun, animal protein purchasing director at Tongwei Agricultural Development Co. Ltd.

This workshop will be composed of presentations and panel discussions, and topics will include market dynamics, processing technology, value-added applications, regulations and standards.
