International Feed Expo - January 27-29, 2010, Atlanta, GA, USA

The American Feed Industry Association is gearing up for the International Feed Expo and the International Poultry Expo scheduled for January 27-29, 2010, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA, USA.

Attending the Expo is a great way to learn about new technologies, services and issues facing the feed industry, as well as meet with domestic and international industry peers. To review the 2010 exhibitors before you get to the show floor, click here.

Last year close to 20,000 people attended the show.

AFIA and the Poultry Protein & Fat Council will host one such  event prior to the opening of the IFE the following day. The Pet Food Conference will begin at 9 a.m. on Jan. 26.

The strong educational component of Expo continues on January 28. AFIA’s International Educational Forum, in Room A404, which is free to all attendees, will feature Dr. David Meeker of the National Renderers Association discussing safety and quality of rendered products for animal diets. Following his presentation, AFIA’s own Keith Epperson and Jarrod Kersey will provide updates on current regulatory and legislative issues affecting the feed industry. To close the forum, Carl Allis, CPM’s plant manager of die and roll operations, will review how proper die and roll design and selection improves throughput and reduces operating costs.

Some other special features of the Expo will happen off the show floor. Join exhibitors and your fellow attendees from 5 - 6 p.m. on January 27 for the International Networking Reception at the Thomas B. Murphy Ballroom. Enjoy complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres and network with people from around the world. The reception is sponsored by AFIA, the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, plus many others.
