Online certificate program launched: Leadership for marine sustainability

An online Certificate Program has been launched, giving business leaders the tools they need to incorporate ‘marine sustainability practices’ into their business processes.   This program is a partnership between the University of Fredericton and the Huntsman Marine Science Centre, in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada.

This Certificate Program, aimed at executives and professionals in marine-related fields, is entitled Leadership for Marine Sustainability.

The four-course program is instructed by three course leaders and a variety of guest speakers, including Dr. Fred Whoriskey and Alexandra Cousteau.

The online program, which launches in June and can be completed in 32 weeks, aims to give its graduates a better understanding of the fundamentals of sustainability to industry and the public, in order to better formulate their own organization’s sustainability policies and practices.

The Huntsman Marine Science Centre was established in 1969, and combines research, innovation and education in its goal to provide better understanding of, and solutions to, ocean issues.

The University of Fredericton, Canada's most innovative online university, is fully recognized as a degree-granting university by the Province of New Brunswick.  It provides online business courses, and counts students from around the world among its graduates.
