The Center for Responsible Seafood (TCRS) has formed a new collaborative alliance with Norway-based Aquaculture Tribe in order to expand their closely aligned missions for a healthier planet through regenerative seafood processes.

“I am thrilled to be joining forces with Sunny Akhter and his community to share knowledge and training opportunities with those who need it most,” said George Chamberlain, president of TCRS. “Just like TCRS, Aquaculture Tribe looks to make an impact at the most local levels to develop small farm businesses and make a real difference in improving both local economies and the sustainability of our planet.”

“There is a wealth of aquaculture knowledge and resources out there, but the people who need it most, don’t have access to it,” said Sunny Akhter, founder and president of Aquaculture Tribe. “We are excited to be partnering with TCRS to bring sustainable aquaculture tools and best practices to communities all over the world. Together, we can gain more traction in attacking food insecurity, building sustainable economies and improving the environment.”

The partnership will focus on sharing and cross-promoting the two platforms and educational offerings; collaborating on projects and pursuing supporting grants and sponsorships; and coordinating training webinars, video podcasts and possible hybrid events.

The new alliance – which has a combined membership of more than 6,500 seafood professionals and advocates – will also include free virtual registrations for Aquaculture Tribe members to the inaugural TCRS Shrimp Summit in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on July 24-26.
