A one-week Practical Short Course on Feeds, Pet Food and Aqua Feed Extrusion will be presented from February 2-6, 2026, at Texas A&M University in person and live online via Zoom by staff, industry representatives, and consultants.
The program will cover information on different extrusion systems such as dry extruder, single- and twin-screw extruder, designing new feed mills and selecting conveying, drying, grinding, conditioning and feed mixing equipment.
Current practices for the production of pet foods, aquafeed, full-fat soy meal, recycling byproducts, aquafeed nutrition principles, spraying and coating systems, digests and preservatives, use of encapsulated ingredients, and preparation of premixes are reviewed.
