The American Feed Industry Association welcomes Preston R Buff, PhD, as its director of regulatory affairs. The newly-created position will assist the current legislative and regulatory staff efforts. Buff comes to AFIA from Mars Inc.

Buff is responsible for medicated feed, the veterinary feed directive, AFIA\'s Equine and Nutrition committees, technical science issues, and assisting with the legislative and regulatory efforts associated with the Association of American Feed Control Officials, the US Food and Drug Administration, state legislative and regulatory concerns for the southeastern US, and the Food Safety Modernization Act.
