The American Feed Industry Association Board of Directors has approved the funding of a pilot project that will provide a roadmap for establishing and utilizing industry-wide e-commerce business standards.The measure, aimed at increasing tracking and traceability throughout the feed industry supply chain, is scheduled for completion in approximately six months.Once in place, these standards will improve the flow of information among industry trading partners and provide more effective traceability measures, consistent with AFIA's Safe Feed/Safe Food Program.
