Alltech and NACA sponsor shrimp health training workshop

Alltech has joined with NACA to sponsor training workshop in Bangkok in October

Alltech has joined with the Network of Aquaculture Centers in Asia Pacific (NACA) to sponsor the training workshop “Health Management in Shrimp Ponds”. This workshop, which has been running since 1992, will be held in the NACA conference room in Bangkok, Thailand from October 3 - 8, 2005.

The course will include lectures, practical, case studies, visits to farms and adequate time for discussion. The lectures are based on the information contained in the publication “Health Management in Shrimp Ponds” and are illustrated with an extensive range of photographic slides. The course will emphasize the benefits of maintaining healthy stock and preventing disease through management of the pond.

It is a fee-paying course offered annually with internationally recognized expert speakers, including: Dan Fegan (current President of the World Aquaculture Society); Pornlerd Chanratchakool, Technical Manager for Novozymes (with 18 years experience with the Aquatic Animal Health Research Institute of Thailand); Julian Davies (Managing Director of Siam Natural Resources); and Prof. Chalore Limsuwan, from Kasetsart University, Thailand.
