The topic of producing food and biomass that is \"grown in water instead of on the land\" is being explored at EuroTier 2016. The event is taking place in Germany at Hanover’s Exhibition Grounds from November 15 to 18, and aquaculture is the featured topic in Hall 24.

The special \"Growth in the water\" showcase is illustrating the diversity of aquaculture. Here, fish, shellfish, algae, crustaceans and their feeds are being shown.

This feature is providing the answers to many questions including: what are microalgae, how do they grow and who uses them? What are salmonids? What do mussels look like? And what feedstuffs are used in aquaculture?

Another feature in Hall 24 this year is examining the preparation and cleaning of water used in the aquaculture production environment.

Aquaculture is now a small but powerful part of the EuroTier exhibition for animal husbandry and management – more than 10,000 visitors named it as one of their reasons for visiting EuroTier in 2014.
