ASC's Aquafeed Standard Progress Update

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) is developing a Feed Standard for which aquafeed mills can be certified. Within this project, ASC is developing a standard that sets requirements for sourcing of responsibly produced ingredients for aquafeed. This is a multi-stakeholder project, with over 50 people involved in several committees. The expected release date is Q1-2016. Currently the initial draft is open for public feedback. Michiel Fransen, ASC Standards & Certification Coordinator has been invited by Aquafeed.com to provide an update on this important standard development process at 8th Aquafeed Horizons conference for feed industry professionals, taking place in Cologne, Germany June 9, 2015.
