Cargill changes leaders in Animal Nutrition

David Webster has been named enterprise leader of Cargill Animal Nutrition.

Joe Stone has been named enterprise leader for Cargill’s agricultural supply chain effective June 1. He will succeed GJ van den Akker, who has announced his intent to retire in 2020 after 30 years with Cargill.

Joe Stone began his career in Cargill’s grain and oilseeds business in 1985 before moving to the company’s world trading unit in Geneva, Switzerland in 2001. Most recently, he served as enterprise lead of Cargill Animal Nutrition.

David Webster has been named enterprise leader of Cargill Animal Nutrition and Cargill executive team member. Webster joined Cargill in 1992, working in production, sales, purchasing and finance before becoming a leader in Cargill premix business with the acquisition of Provimi. Most recently, he led Cargill’s global edible oils business.

GJ Van den Akker will continue to serve on Cargill’s executive team and lead key projects prior to his retirement.
