In light of more favorable than expected U.S. "anti-dumping" duties on Thai shrimp, compared with other major exporting countries, Charoen Pokphand Foods Plc (CPF) will reportedly invest 1 billion baht ($24 million) to more than double its shrimp production from 14,000 tonnes to 32,000 tons next year.
These numbers reflect the anticipated doubling of Thailand's national production to 500,000-600,000 tonnes next year.
