Corpesca plans to invest USD 55 million to unite and modernize the two fishmeal and fish oil production plants it has in Arica: the Northern Plant and the Southern Plant.

The project will be located administratively in the Region of Arica and Parinacota, province and town of Arica. Specifically, it will be located within the Northern Plant of Corpesca SA, where today fish oil and fishmeal industrial production is developed.

This project involves the relocation of the existing equipment at both factories, which will be incorporated into the sheds 1 and 3 existing in the Northern Plant. The company will also adapt these sheds to transport equipment.

The shed 2 will continue being used to store the finished fishmeal products.

In addition, \"the modernization includes the installation of an odour abatement system, whose main objective is to reduce odours produced by gases and vapors as a result of the fishmeal preparation process,\" the company stated in the Environmental Impact Statement (DIA).
