Animal and aquatic feed company Chubu Shiryo Co., Ltd., Nagoya, Aichi, Japan, has formed a joint venture aquafeed company in Anqiu, Shangdong, China with Weifang Sanhui Food Co. Ltd. and Three Links International Trading Co., Ltd. of China.
Three Links Chubu Shiryo Co., Ltd. (Shandong) Co., Ltd., will manufacture and sell of aquafeed, sell marine products and provide technical guidance to fish farmers. The group sees an opportunity in China\'s huge aquafeed market for technically advanced feeds, such as fry formulations and after-sales customer care.
The JV was setup with an initial investment of approximately US$ 1.5 million, and projects annual sales of US$20 million annual sales. The plant is expected to go online by the end of next year.
