Aller Aqua has recently been audited and has achieved its ASC-compliance. This means that Aller Aqua  lives up to the criteria set out by the ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council – an independent non-profit organization co-founded by WWF and The Sustainable Trade Initiative). This ensures that the fish farmers who want to sell ASC-certified fish will be able to use Aller Aqua’s trout feed, and document the certification.

The criteria for the certification include:

·         Traceability and transparency of raw materials in feed

·         Responsible origin of raw materials

·         Dependency of wild caught marine ingredients in feed

·         Responsible origin of non-marine raw materials in feed

While these criteria have been implemented by Aller Aqua  for some time, the company said it is pleased to now have been certified as compliant, proving that their dedication to traceability of raw materials and sustainability in aquaculture is paying off.
