Feed supplier acquisition for Altor
Altor, the Nordic private equity group that owns EWOS, has teamed up with Goldman Sachs to acquire Danish animal and aquaculture feed producer Hamlet Protein from Polaris Private Equity and Hamlet’s founder, Ole K. Hansen.
Altor, the Nordic private equity group that owns EWOS, has teamed up with Goldman Sachs to acquire Danish animal and aquaculture feed producer Hamlet Protein from Polaris Private Equity and Hamlet’s founder, Ole K. Hansen.
Hamlet is active in more than 50 countries, producing soy-based protein solutions for high valued-added feed for young animals, including fish, from its production facilities in Denmark and Ohio.
A statement from Soren Johansen, partner at Altor Equity Partners said: “We believe that Hamlet Protein is ideally positioned to become the global champion within high value-add young animal feed.”
