IFFO Annual Conference moves to Oz

For the  first time, IFFO's annual conference will be held in Australia. This year's conference theme is "Future Horizons" - with expert speakers explaining the main drivers on supply and demand over the next five years and how to differentiate our products for added value.

There will be particular focus on fishmeal demand growth in Asia - livestock species, countries, qualities - especially for aquaculture.

A program that reflects the key concerns for the future of the industry, whether as fishmeal and fish oil producers, traders or feed manufacturers.

The draft program includes:
Highlights of 2007 - where are IFFO and the industry today?
The next 5 years – drivers on supply and demand for fishmeal and fish oil
Feed fishing – a 10 year forward view
Future aquaculture feeds in Asia, including trash fish feeds
The influence of biofuel and genetic modification on protein availability
Workshop: “Unique nutritional properties of marine resources”
Vietnam and the growth of aquaculture in South East Asia
Implications for the fishmeal and fish oil industry

Registration details and a preliminary brochure will be available in May and updates will be added to the IFFO website. Contact secretariat@iffo.net for more information.
