The 20th India International Seafood Show, to be held at South India’s port city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, from 23 to 25 September, 2016, has decided to promote “sustainable aquaculture” in the country by tagging it as the central theme of the show, writes Basudev Mahapatra.

In order to make the participants realise the importance of the theme, this year\'s show aims to highlight “technological advances and sustainable practices” in the aquaculture sector, officials revealed.

As India expects to achieve 20 per cent growth in seafood exports this fiscal and targets to take it to $10 billion by 2020, this can be achieved through safe and sustainable aquaculture, organisers of the show believe.
