International Feed Expo hotel & pre-registration is open

Aug. 1, 2008, signified the opening of International Feed Expo and International Poultry Expo pre-registration and hotel services. Originating in 1949, AFIA’s Expo has grown into what the organizers claim to be the largest animal feed and ingredient show in the world. Now the AFIA International Feed Expo and the International Poultry Expo, the world’s two largest feed and poultry shows, respectively, showcase more than 900 exhibitors and attract more than 20,000 feed and poultry leaders from around the world.

If you plan to attend, you will need to pre-register before the Jan. 5, 2009.

1. To register visit www.ipe09.org, click “attendees” on the navigation bar, followed by “attendee registration”. By pre-registering for Expo you will save $10. The pre-registration fees will be $30 (USD) for online registration and $40 (USD) for registration via mail or fax. After Jan. 5, 2009 you will have to buy your Expo pass at the door for $50 (USD).

2. Hotel registration for the 2008 International Poultry Expo and International Feed Expo is now open. Please visit http://www.wynjade.com/poultry09/index.cfm, to get in touch with Wyndham Jade, the hotel coordinator. You also may call (800) 480-4364 (domestic) or (972) 349-7645 (international) for more information. While you are visiting this Web site, don’t forget to view the hotels located on the route of the complimentary shuttle. Shuttle service will be available to and from the Georgia World Congress Center.

4. The Pet Food Regulatory and Technical Conference: Understanding Emerging Trends in the Pet Food Industry will begin at 1 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Jan. 27, prior to the opening of the International Feed Expo and the International Poultry Expo the following day.

There will be two concurrent sessions, one addressing the rapidly changing regulatory environment and the other addressing technical issues related to the pet food industry. The session will continue Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 8-10 a.m. with a general session before the Expo kicks off. For more information, visit www.petfoodconference.com.
