Startup Agriloops is the first experimental saltwater aquaponic shrimp farm in France. The farm recovers fish or shrimp effluents by fertilizing reused water to grow vegetables, such as salicornia and ficoids. Agriloops is supported by AgroParisTech, Agrocampus Ouest and the Roscoff Biological Station.
The start-up plans to produce 20 tons of shrimp early 2020. Le Gouessant will supply feed for premium shrimp.
