Nergaard Pelagic\'s new fishmeal and fish oil factory at Trollebo in Vagsoy, Norway was opened last week by the Minister of Fisheries, Per Sandberg.
The Norwegian company invested NOK 300 million ($34.7m) in the factory, which is claimed to be the most modern fishmeal and fish oil production plant in Europe.
It has taken just over a year to construct the plant, which will have an annual turnover ranging from NOK 300m to NOK 350m.
