Norwegians research grain feed for cod

Vegetable raw materials can partly replace marine raw materials in feed for farmed cod
June 2, 2004

Research at Norway's fisheries and aquaculture research and development  institute, Fiskeriforskning  shows that it is possible to use corn, wheat and soy in cod feed without affecting the growth.

By using more vegetable raw materials, the feed will be less expensive and thereby contribute to reducing the costs associated with cod farming.

Fiskeriforskning has begun a new study to see whether use of vegetable raw materials is important for the shelf life and taste of the raw material.
