Nutreco completes acquisition of the BASF premix business in eight countries

EC clears Nutreco acquisition of premix businesses from BASF in Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom

On September 25, 2007 Nutreco received unconditional clearance from the European Commission to complete the acquisition of the premix businesses from BASF in Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom. The closing of the transaction in these countries will take place by 31 October 2007.

In China the transfer of assets is due to be finalised on September 28, 2007.

The acquisition of the premix business of BASF in eight countries was announced in February 2007. The closing of the transaction in Europe and the transfer of assets in China are the last steps in the completion of this acquisition. The transaction has already
been completed in the United States, Mexico, Guatemala and Indonesia.
