A report in Russian SoyaNews shows that in June 2015, Russia produced 6,500 tonnes of fishmeal, which is 1.46 times more than in the previous month, and 1.51 times more than in June 2014. In the first half of 2015, Russia produced 20.3% more fishmeal than in the same period in 2014.
Fishmeal production decreased in 2014, but predictions for 2015 are that Russia will see an overall rise in its production, to meet growing demand from the major livestock producers.
