Taking the Anxiety Out of Consuming Seafood The insatiable American appetite for seafood is dwarfed only by their hunger to know which fish is safe to eat and what menu choice won’t hurt the environment. A new Web site – FishWatch – developed by the federal fishery scientists and managers at NOAA is designed to answer these questions and more.
Visitors can select from a list to find information on specific species of fish that includes the sustainability status, science and management, life history and habitat, role in the ecosystem and more. Nutrition facts and recipes are also included. This attractive website is richly illustrated with high quality images and easy to use.
