THAILAND - Continuing violence forces CP to evacuate

Employees of Charoen Pokphand Foods Plc, the listed flagship of the Charoen Pokphand Group, have been forced out of their offices in CP Tower on Silom Road to temporary offices a safe distance from the protests. All employees are connected through intranet and e-mail for internal contact.

The Bangkok Post reports that several workers were allowed to work at home for safety and convenience, particularly after the two key mass rapid transit systems halted operations.

A company spokeswoman said CPF is monitoring the political situation daily and will not move its staff back until they are assured of safety.
