A USSEC aquaculture team from Myanmar recently attended an extrusion technology short course at the Food Protein Research & Development Center (FPRDC) at Texas A & M University.
Dr. Mian Riaz, director of the FPRDC, led the team through the four-day course, in which they learned about extrusion processes and the advantage of different soybean products. The team benefitted from seeing multiple demonstrations of feed extrusion on each extruder and expender at the center and were keen to take their new knowledge back home to Myanmar.
