The French aquaculture industry had a total revenue of $866.5 million in 2010, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.9% for the period spanning 2006-2010. Industry production volumes decreased with a CARC of -2.1% between 2006 and 2010, to reach a total of 218.9 thousand tons in 2010, a new report, Aquaculture in France - Industry and Country Analysis, shows.

The performance of the industry is forecast to decelerate, with an anticipated CAGR of 2.5% for the five-year period 2010-2015, which is expected to drive the industry to a value of $982.6 million by the end of 2015.

The  report covers market value and volume, geographical segmentation, as well as buyer power, supplier power, new entrants, substitutes, and competition. The current challenges, future prospects and risks across political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental areas of the country are analyzed.
