CPM acquires Lauhoff  assets

Process design and equipment provider for the oilseed, animal feed, biofuel, and cereal industries, CPM, announced the acquisition of certain Lauhoff Corporation assets including all intellectual properties for rotary pressure cookers, flakers, stem crushers and ancillary equipment.  These assets, formerly part of the Lauhoff Corporation of Detroit, Mich., will be combined with CPM’s Wolverine Proctor division.

“This acquisition represents significant and complementary product line additions for the Wolverine Proctor division,” said Paul Smith, vice president of sales and marketing. “We look forward to serving the existing Lauhoff customers, many of whom are already long-time customers of CPM’s Wolverine Proctor, Century Extrusion and Roskamp Champion divisions.”

The acquisition enables Wolverine Proctor to serve traditional cereal processors in turn-key fashion through global sales and product support channels out of its Horsham, Pa., and Glasgow, United Kingdom, sales and service centers. Wolverine Proctor will assume engineering, production, and after-market service functions for all Lauhoff products.

CPM’s business units include Crown Iron Works, California Pellet Mill, Roskamp Champion, Beta Raven, Century Extrusion, Greenbank Technology and Wolverine Proctor.  CPM has more than 1,000 employees and production facilities in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
