MNL Group patented Futerpenol, an innovative, 100% natural immunomodulator, that effectively reduces the risks of disease (pathogens) and stress caused by handling and environmental conditions in salmon production. The new feed enhancer is easily incorporated into the salmon feed as a micro-ingredient and it is used for prevention throughout the whole cycle in the sea and smolts transfer.

MNL Group is a Chilean technology-based company that develops, produces and commercializes natural products solutions to improve human and animal health and wellbeing. “We have been able to significantly reduce the mortality rate against bacteria in a range of 60% to 40% in RPS, reduce the use of antibiotics and decrease gut damage by 25%, which was the focus of this innovation. Since the additive improves the general health status and wellbeing of fish, it also contributes to improving the general fish performance for obvious reasons,” said Cristian Moreno, CEO Animal Health Division at MNL Group and former CEO of SalmonChile.

Futerpenol is a combination of algae and plant-based extracts that improves the response of the fish cytotoxins against an intracellular pathogen.
